Ellington Agricultural Center

Ellington Ag Center at DawnOnce a private estate, the 207 acre Ellington Agricultural Center is now headquarters for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, TWRA, and is a branch location for various agencies. Read More About Its History.

Located 10 miles south of downtown Nashville, the Center is the heart of the state's agricultural interests. Directions

Learn more about how the TDA Watershed Initiative has restored our portion of Sevenmile Creek, including improved public access through a greenway and trail system (The Rogers Walk) in cooperation with Metro Parks.

Special events such as the Tennessee Agricultural Museum's Annual Rural Life Festival are held there.  The Center is listed as an Official Arboretum by the Nashville Tree Foundation and is home to an official Iris Garden.

All weddings held at the Ellington Center are conducted in the Iris Garden.  Arrangements should be made with Ginny Russell evenings after 6:00 pm at (615) 883-4338.
