Bledsoe County Correctional Complex (BCCX) is located on approximately 2,500 acres approximately 15 miles from Pikeville. It is a level 3 facility which houses minimum and medium custody offenders, including a 150-bed male annex and a 300-bed female unit.
BCCX is the intake diagnostic center for all male offenders sentence to the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC.) All offenders receive a comprehensive diagnostic assessment which will determine their medical, mental health and programming needs.
BCCX offers programming for youthful offenders, academic programs, and vocational programs which include culinary arts, carpentry, electronics, barbering, career development, woodworking, computer-aided design, woodworking, auto body repair, small engine repair, cosmetology and two co-occurring units. These programs are designed to help with self-improvement and to support offenders' successful re-entry into the community.
BCCX, in partnership with Tennessee Rehabilitative Initiative In Correction (TRICOR), operates industries to provide jobs for offenders, including a farm that produces milk and field crops.
Take I-40 East to Exit 317 (Crossville Hwy. 127). Turn right onto Highway 127 and proceed through Crossville (past courthouse and the hospital) and turn right onto Highway 392 (Miller Bypass.) Continue to the first traffic light and turn left onto Highway 101 (Lantana Road.) Proceed down Highway 101 until you reach a stop sign (approximately 25 miles from Crossville). Turn right onto Highway 285 and follow the signs to the facility.
Take I-40 West to Exit 322 (Peavine Road). Turn left and go to 4 way stop. Continue straight on Hwy. 392 (Miller ByPass) for approximately 4 miles. At the 2nd traffic light (junction Hwy. 101), turn left onto Hwy. 101 (Lantana Road) and proceed for approximately 25 miles until you reach a stop sign. Turn right onto Highway 285 and follow the signs to the facility.
Take Highway 27 North until you reach the junction of Highway 111. Veer left onto Highway 111 and travel approximately 20 miles until you reach the junction of Highway 127. Turn right onto Highway 127 and proceed North until you reach the junction of Highway 30 (you will go through the town of Pikeville.) Turn left onto Highway 30. Once you reached the top of the mountain, you will proceed for approximately 7 miles until you reach the junction of Highway 101. Turn right onto Highway 101 and follow this road (do not turn) until you reach the signs for the facility.
