Note to users:
For K-8 Science, Mathematics, and/or Language Arts, the Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) for correlated Standards are reproduced. (For High School courses, the Course Level Expectations, CLEs, are listed.) Related WET activities are listed in the column on the right.
These activities are suggestions made and reviewed by a committee of educators. A special effort was made to recommend activities that will meet the specified standards when done exactly as they appear in the 2006 WET Pre K–8 Guide. Because Inquiry and Technology activities are to be embedded, rather than free-standing, inquiry and design activities were first correlated to science content and then to embedded inquiry or technology as appropriate. Likewise, Mathematics and Language Arts correlations were suggested only for activities already matched to grade-level standards in social studies or science.
However, teachers are encouraged to modify and adapt any of the WET activities to suit the needs of your students and/or situation and to make additional correlations according to your own judgment. If you have questions, comments or suggestions about using Project WET in your classroom, e-mail Michelle Rogers at: email@example.com.
