The department has just released an updated drought management plan. The TDEC Drought Management Plan outlines the framework for action and cooperation in water resources management among local, state, and federal agencies with drought-related responsibilities.

The Courier is the newsletter of the Tennessee Historical Commission. It is issued every February, June and October. It contains a feature article on some aspect of Tennessee History and news of interest about THC business. Click here for current and previous issues of The Courier.

The department's DOE Oversight Division provides annual environmental monitoring plans and reports for the Oak Ridge Reservation under the terms terms of the Tennessee Oversight Agreement.

The engineers, scientists and environmental specialists in the department collect, monitor, analyze and report on their findings from the field.  Some assessments reflect routine summary reporting from regulated entities while other documents are conducted in response to federal and state requirements for period reporting.

The department's Office of Environmental Assistance has produced brochures, manuals, and reports that are useful environmental resources for business, communities and individuals.

A variety of Water Quality Publications are available for individuals and organizations.

The department’s Drinking Water Publication section features a wide range of program documents, reports, surveys and plans concerned with public water supplies in Tennessee.

The department maintains a network of air quality monitors and models for the purpose of forecasting, trend measurements and results reporting.

The Division of Geology conducts research on the geology and mineral resources of Tennessee and makes the resulting scientific and technical information available to the public in maps and publications.

The department offers videos on environmental topics such as source water protection and effective automotive fluids management.
