In March, 2011 in response to tank owner requests, the Division posted a draft Standardized Inspection Manual containing revisions to Division Compliance Guidance Documents (CGDs) designed to produce a more standardized compliance inspection for tank owners. The CGDs needed revisions due to rule changes and advancements in technology. The division solicited and received several comments on the draft documents. As a result, changes were made in the Standardized Inspection Manual. This Manual is intended to be used by inspectors and service providers, such as testers and installers. Tank owners are invited to use the information contained in the Manual. The CGDs will now be referred to as Technical Chapters in the Manual.
Updating the guidance is not a rule making process, but we welcome your comments on the Technical Chapters and other documents before they are finalized.
To aid in reviewing the documents, changes from the March, 2011
Standardized Inspection Manual are marked in colored text. Each document may be downloaded separately instead of downloading the entire Manual.
