Tennessee offers 14 types of certificates. Each certified operator possesses certain experience requirements, has a high school education or equivalent, and has scored 70% or higher on an examination.
Each certificate is renewed annually. Completion of the required number of continuing education hours every three years is required to maintain certification.
Fleming Training Center recently awarded numerous certifications for water and/or wastewater treatment operators. Click here for a list of recently awarded certifications.
Those who have been approved by the Water and Wastewater Operator Certification Board to take a computer-based certification exam in May 2015 will receive a letter with specific instructions for logging on to the Advanced Measurement Professionals (AMP) website for scheduling their exam date and time. Individuals will need their operator ID number found on their letter in order to schedule their exam. General information about scheduling may be found at:
As a result of high demand for the computer-based exam there may be a delay in some operator information being uploaded to the AMP site. If you are unable to register for an exam, please contact AMP directly through their website at www.goamp.com
Exam Dates - May 7-8 & November 5-6, 2015
