About Our Division:

Payroll Call Center
  • The Division of Accounts is very involved in the implementation of Edison, the state´s new integrated system that replaces the legacy accounting and payroll systems. The Division has taken the opportunity to incorporate some of the recommendations of a benchmarking consultant study.

    One of those recommendations was to centralize answering employees´ questions about payroll issues. The Division established a central payroll call center to field those questions and route research issues to technical personnel, reducing the time to answer employees´ questions and providing consistent answers.

What We Do:

The Division of Accounts performs the comptroller functions for the State, including:

  • Processing and recording all accounting entries in the State´s centralized accounting system
  • Preparation and distribution of the State payroll
  • Cash management advisory services
  • Establishment of State accounting policy
  • Preparation of the State´s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
