This series provides the training required to meet the Assistant to the Commissioner training law passed in 2006. All Chief Officers from recognized Tennessee fire departments hired or elected after July 1, 2006 must complete 16 hours of training. The series includes a variety of subjects including: legal, budgeting, human resources, safety, state requirements, TOSHA, TFIRS, water utilities, etc. This series of courses may be offered at the TFACA or in local jurisdictions.
