| Description |
This course is designed for fire officers and managers using incident command structure for fire and emergency operations to develop additional supervisory and management capabilities for structural fire operations. The course is composed of two course modules. Module One is based on the National Fire
Academy’s - Incident Command System (ICS) course. Key areas covered in this section are incident management systems, an overview of the structure and expandable nature of ICS, an understanding of command skills needed, and skill development through practical scenarios. Module Two is based on the National Fire Academy’s - MCTO: Tactics. Key areas covered in this section are rescue, ventilation, fire attack, water supply, salvage, and overhaul. The course meets selected requirements of NFPA 1021: Fire Officer Professional Qualifications. The Tennessee Commission on Firefighting Practicals will be held
during this week. |
