This course is designed to provide the student with the basic knowledge necessary to conduct fire prevention inspections and to recognize potential hazards.
Major topics in the course include purpose of codes, building, fire, fire prevention, and fire model codes, authority and responsibility, reports and record keeping; preparing for and conducting the inspection, basic fire safety concepts, common heating and cooking hazards, automatic sprinkler systems, and protective signaling devises. |
