DHS To Recognize Families First Employer of the Year

NASHVILLE— The Tennessee Department of Human Services will honor both large and small businesses in a special Awards Luncheon on Monday, February 7, at the Regal Maxwell House Hotel (2025 Metro Center Blvd.) in Nashville at 12:00 noon.

Approximately, 16 employers will receive plaques from state Human Services Commissioner Natasha Metcalf and Governor Sundquist's Chief Administrative Officer Eleanor Yoakum.

"These employers are being recognized for 'going above and beyond' to help recently- hired Families First participants make successful transitions into the workforce and remain on their jobs," state Human Services Commissioner Natasha Metcalf said. "We are extremely pleased with the support we have received from the business-community for our Families First program since its inception in 1996."
