TDMH Announcement of Funding
The Tennessee Department of Mental Health announces funding for the management of the Early Connections Network early childhood System of Care grant for the counties of Cheatham, Dickson, Montgomery, Robertson, and Sumner for the period February 1-September 30, 2012. Proposals are due by December 16, 2011, 4:00 p.m. CT.

New Toll-Free Crisis Number for Mental Health Needs Announced
NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Mental Health (TDMH) announced a new statewide number for mental health and substance use crisis services in an effort to create a more user-friendly service. The new number, 1-855-CRISIS-1 (1-855-274-7471), is replacing the state’s existing toll-free number and will continue to route callers to their local crisis provider. More...
Regional Mental Health Institutes
The Tennessee Department of Mental Health operates 5 Regional Mental Health Institutes (RMHIs) which provide in-patient psychiatric services for adults. Most RMHI admissions are on an emergency involuntary basis. The RMHIs provide psychiatric services based upon the demonstrated and emerging best practices of each clinical discipline, and are fully accredited, certified and licensed. More...
