Connecting Tennessee women with resources to address the challenges they may encounter on the pathway to becoming economically successful and autonomous is one way in which the Tennessee Economic Council on Womenfulfills its mission to “develop and advocate solutions to address women’s needs.” With these resources, the Council hopes to provide women with the information they need to become their own advocates.
The ability of these resources to empower women across the state, however, like so many initiatives involving women, is exponentially enhanced when more supportive persons offer their expertise and insights. Together, we can make this list of resources comprehensive and updated, a living document to serve women in any disempowering situations in which they may find themselves. If you know of an organization, service, or informative document which should be included in these resources, would like to update your organization’s contact information, or have a suggestion for another topic, please contact the Council at info.ecw@tn.gov.
