2011-2012 Tennessee Blue Book Now Available Online

The 2011-2012 Tennessee Blue Book, considered the manual of state government and state history, is now available online.

The Blue Book can be accessed by visiting http://tn.gov/sos/bluebook/index.htm.

"Making the Blue Book available online is another way we can provide better service to our customers, the citizens of Tennessee," Secretary of State Tre Hargett said. "The newest edition of the Blue Book has updated graphics, photos and other enhancements that have not been available in previous editions. The staff of our Publications Division has embraced my challenge to look for new ways to add value to the work that we do here."

Acts and Resolutions of the 2011 Legislative Session Now Online

All of the legislation approved this year, during the first session of the 107th General Assembly, is now available online at the Office of Secretary of State web site. These documents - including 510 public acts, 32 private acts and 1,071 resolutions – can be found at: http://www.tn.gov/sos/acts/index.htm

This is the first year that all resolutions – not just those required by law to be published – are available on the web site.

Legislative History Available Online

The Tennessee General Assembly passes thousands of acts and resolutions during each year’s legislative session. Now these historical documents are available online at the Secretary of State’s web site.

The text of acts and published resolutions has been online in recent years, but this is the first year that images of the actual records are available to the public. Additionally, the publications division of the Secretary of State’s Office will be posting all acts and resolutions, rather than just the acts and resolutions that are required by law to be published.

Rulemaking Hearing for Workers' Compensation Exemption Registration

A rulemaking hearing for Workers' Compensation Exemption Registration rules (Rule 1360-09-01 et seq.) will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 2:00 CST in the 6th Floor Conference Room at the Tennessee Tower located at 312 Rosa Parks Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee, 37243.
