  • AG Slatery Resolves Data Breach Investigation of Sabre Hospitality Solutions

    Nashville – Attorney General Herbert H. Slatery III, along with the attorneys general of 27 states, has entered into a settlement with Sabre Corporation that resolves an investigation into the 2017 data breach of Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ hotel booking system. The breach exposed the data of approximately 1.3 million credit cards. The settlement requires a payment of $2.4 million, of which the State of Tennessee will receive $61,909.08 and injunctive relief.

    Nashville- Attorney General Herbert H. Slatery III announced a settlement today with Walker Stalkers, LLC and its CEO, James Frazier. The agreement prevents Mr. Frazier from engaging in the kind of conduct that led to the failure to provide promised ticket refunds for cancelled events and obliges him to pay restitution owed to eligible consumers.

  • AG Slatery and Home Depot Reach Settlement Following Data Breach

    Nashville- Attorney General Herbert H. Slatery III, along with the Attorneys General of 45 other states and the District of Columbia, announced a $17.5 million dollar settlement with Georgia-based retailer The Home Depot. The settlement resolves a multistate investigation of the 2014 data breach which exposed the payment card information of approximately 40 million customers. Tennessee will receive $253,004.06.

  • TN AG Office Participates in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

    Wednesday, October 21, 2020 | 11:10am

    Nashville- In recognition of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office Division of Consumer Affairs will collaborate with Hamilton County and other community partners to provide 25 drive-thru drop-off locations across the Chattanooga-area Saturday, October 24th. The public is invited to drop-off any unused, unwanted or expired prescription medications at any drop-off location with little to no human contact.

  • AG Slatery Announces Updated Settlement with Opioid Manufacturer Mallinckrodt

    Nashville- Attorney General Herbert H. Slatery III today announced an update to a global settlement framework agreement between 50 state attorneys general, local subdivisions, and the opioid manufacturer Mallinckrodt (MNK), its subsidiaries, and certain other affiliates. Under the new settlement pending before the bankruptcy court, MNK will pay $1.6 billion into a trust as described below. MNK is currently the largest generic opioid manufacturer in the United States.
