The Council's work is broadly guided by our five-year state plan, which is based on broad input from Tennessee's disability community and close review by Council members. Within that plan, our priorities are guided by our citizen Council members. Their real-world stories and experiences help us understand persistent issues for people with disabilities in our state. We then bring citizens, policymakers, and organizations together to work on solutions.
Our work is very broad. It touches on every life stage and on services all across state government. However, the following areas are ones we are particularly focused on right now.
