Geologists
The purpose of the Tennessee Professional Geologists Licensing Program is to ensure that only qualified persons are licensed to practice geology in Tennessee, thereby benefiting the safety, health, and property of the people of this state and promoting the public welfare.
Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Announcements:
- The Spring 2023 Exam will be held on March 17, 2023. All exams moving forward will be computer-based testing (CBT). To be considered for the Spring session, applications must be submitted to the program office no later than January 6, 2023.
- On February 1, 2023, candidates will receive an admission letter from the Prometric Registration Portal, providing guidance on how to register and pay for the exams and select a testing facility. A step-by-step registration guide for candidates will be added to ASBOGs Candidate Handbook. The revised candidate handbook will be available on ASBOGs web site by mid-December. - For those candidates interested in practicing the computer-based test format, a “test drive” provided by Prometric can be accessed at no cost on the ASBOG website through this link: TestDrive.
