Foster Parent Training
Calling Prospective Foster Parents!
Are you interested in becoming a foster parent for Tennessee's children? Would you like to learn more about the process, requirements, agency options, and needs of the children in state custody?
Join us May 31 in Rutherford County for our first ever PATH Informational Meeting! This two hour meeting is an introduction to the process of becoming a foster parent. Potential foster families will be better able to make an informed decision about fostering by gaining a better understanding of how serving these children will impact their lives and if this is the right time for them to begin fostering.
The Office of Training and Professional Development offers learning opportunities to assist current adoptive, foster, and kinship parents in support their efforts to provide a safe, nurturing, loving environment for the children in their care.
We also provide pre-approval training for prospective foster parents, in partnership with Harmony Family Center and New Vision, Inc.
