Jobs: Director of DIDD ICF IID Survey Operations
The State of Tennessee DIDD is seeking to fill a Director of ICF/IID Survey Operations.
This position will be stationed in Nashville and will supervise an administrative support staff position and will have the oversight of nine (9) ICF/IID surveyors in three (3) regions across the state.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains an orientation program approved by CMS that includes the core elements needed for the training of an ICF/IID surveyor;
- Oversees the workload and assignment of ICF/IID surveys of private ICF/IID providers across the state;
- Routinely monitors to confirm ICF/IID surveys are technically sound and progressing as scheduled; evaluating the effectiveness of surveyors;
- Keeps the Department of Health (DOH) advised of program needs and trends, and of responsive actions taken;
- Provide supporting documentation and justification for the expenditure of Federal and State Funds;
- Provides oversight for records and reports issued to providers and DOH;
- Establishes and maintains a constructive relationship with other State and local governmental agencies as necessary to ensure complete and accurate surveys on State and Federal regulations;
- Provides leadership and coaching in performance management goals and actions;
- Provides regions with advice, guidance, coaching and counseling as needed to ensure Federal ICF/IID guidelines are adhered to by surveyors;
- Ensures records and files on surveys and training can be efficiently retrieved and disseminated.
- Oversees the development and implementation of the Quality Rating System for ICF/IID providers.
- Utilizes the computer system to assimilate and disseminate data and reports in the correct format and layout as approved by CMS. Written communications are legible and grammatically correct using State and Federal protocols.
- Must be able to pass all Federal CMS required courses and tests, pass all designated State and DIDD required training; and be able to commit to this position for at least a minimum of 3 years.
Qualifications: Executive Service Position. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human development field (e.g. social worker, case worker, qualified intellectual and developmental disabilities professional (QIDDP), speech pathologist, physical therapist, nutritionist, occupational therapist, special education) with at least three years of experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, with ICF/IID experience preferred, with a minimum of three years supervisory / administrative experience. Must be able to utilize a laptop computer, access and utilize web based programs and able to travel statewide.
