2018 LEAD Conference

The annual LEAD Conference gives school and district leaders a chance to share and discuss effective practices happening every day in Tennessee schools. With valuable first-person examples, educators from across the state share their best ideas for preparing Tennessee's students for college and careers.

We are seeking session proposals in conjunction with this year’s theme, Equity, Expectations, and Pathways LEAD to Success. We offer participants a diverse range of high-quality options for content sessions. Proposals should align with the one of the five areas of the Tennessee Succeeds Strategic Plan, and focus on one of the following areas:

  • Early Literacy
  • Middle School: the Bridge to Success
  • High School Pathways
  • Standards Professional Development
  • Educator Effectiveness
  • Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

  • April 9 — CFP closes
  • May 2 — Move to interview phase notification
  • June 7— Final presenter acceptance notification
  • June 13 — Final session title and description due to UTK-CLEE
  • Sept. 5— Session PowerPoints and resources due to UTK-CLEE

The department is proud to announce the 17th Annual LEAD Conference.  An estimated 2,000 school- and district-level educational leaders participate in the conference annually. This conference will provide a great opportunity for exhibitors and sponsors to network directly with potential customers and clients.
