October 17, 2018

  • An Informational Town Meeting will be held by TDEC regarding the proposed Royal Oak manufacturing facility in Hardeman County. This meeting will provide an overview of the technical, air pollution-related issues concerning the permitting of the proposed charcoal manufacturing facility. The meeting will be facilitated by TDEC staff with the opportunity for the public to ask questions to technical staff from TDEC concerning the proposed project. Representatives from the Air Pollution Control Division, Water Resources Division, and Solid Waste Management Division will be present to answer questions.  Public Notice

September 18, 2018

  • Atlas BX America Corporation has applied to the Tennessee Division of Air Pollution Control (TDAPC) for an air contaminant permit to construct a Lead-Acid Battery Manufacturing Facility to be located in Clarksville

September 11, 2018

  • There will be a public hearing before the Technical Secretary of the Tennessee Air Pollution Control Board to consider a proposed rule revision and changes to the State Implementation Plan (SIP) under the authority of Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 68-201-105.  Tennessee proposes to amend Rule 1200-03-27-.12 (NOx SIP Call Requirements for Stationary Boilers and Combustion Turbines). This existing rule requires affected sources to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) during each control period (May 1 through September 30 of each calendar year). The hearing will be conducted as prescribed by the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section
    4-5-201 et. seq. and will take place in 15th Floor Conference Room A, Tennessee Division of Air Pollution Control, 312 Rosa L. Parks Avenue, William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower, Nashville, TN 37243 at 9:00 AM Central Time on November 7, 2018.

August 28, 2018

Public Notice: BAE Systems Ordnance Systems Inc. (BAE) has applied to the Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation, Division of Air Pollution Control for approval to construct and operate new emission sources at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant.  The project is subject to review under the State rule for Prevention of Significant Deterioration of Air Quality (PSD), Tennessee Comprehensive Rules and Regulations 1200-03-09-.01(4).   The Division of Air Pollution Control will hold a public hearing on September 20, 2018, to accept written or oral comments on the proposed project.”  Public Hearing

  • July 25, 2018
    •  There will be a public hearing before the Technical Secretary of the Tennessee Air Pollution Control Board to consider a proposed Infrastructure State Implementation Plan (iSIP) under the authority of Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 68-201-105.  The proposed iSIP is for the 2015 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) and is required by the federal Clean Air Act.  The hearing will be conducted in a manner prescribed by the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-5-201 et. seq. and will take place in the 15th Floor Conference Room, Tennessee Division of Air Pollution Control, 312 Rosa L.   • May 25, 2018
    • There will be a public hearing before the Technical Secretary of the Tennessee Air Pollution Control Board to consider revisions to the Tennessee Division of Air Pollution Control’s Ambient Air Monitoring Plan. An annual evaluation of this plan is required by federal regulations. The hearing will be conducted in the manner prescribed by the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-5-201 et. seq. and will take place in the 15th Floor Conference Room B of William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower, 312 Rosa L. Parks Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee, 37243 at 9:30 a.m. on the 25th day of June, 2018.  The comment period is from June 1, 2018 until July 3, 2018. Comments are taken electronically, by mail, or at the public hearing. Comments can be submitting electronically to air.pollution.control@tn.gov
