How to Join the 2017 Campaign

The beginning of a new year marks the beginning of a new campaign year. If you’re organization is interested in joining the 2017 Tennessee Employees Charitable Campaign (TECC), you can find the information you need and the steps below to apply.

Step 1:  Read the TECC Guidelines

The TECC Guidelines provide a framework for administrating the campaign that’s fair and non-discriminatory, while providing definitions and charitable organizational requirements for admittance. Please read the guidelines to assist in completing your 2017 application.

Step 2: Should I certify or recertify?

View the link below to see if your charity should complete a certification or recertification application. Some TECC codes have changed, so checking the list is imperative to make sure you’re completing the correct application.

You must submit a certification application if…

If your charity is NOT listed

Your charity did not participate in the 2016 campaign

Your charity is submitting as an independent in 2017, but was under a federation in 2016

Step 3: Fill out the application

Complete the certification or recertification application in its entirety, including submitting additional attachments and documents. The application must be signed and notarized or it will be considered incomplete. Charities with incomplete applications will not be able to participate in the 2017 TECC.

Note: The TECC application process is separate and apart from the registration process of the Tennessee Department of State´s Division of Charitable Solicitations. All independent charitable organizations, federations, and member charitable organizations requesting consideration in the 2017 TECC must be in compliance with all of the TECC Guidelines, as well as with any provisions of the Division of Charitable Solicitations. Your prompt attention in providing your completed application is required. The TECC will only accept applications postmarked by midnight on Friday, March 31, 2017. We encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible. Early submission will allow the TECC Administrator the opportunity to begin the evaluation process and will help us keep on track for the 2017 campaign.
