Councils and Committees
The Department of Human Services' Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) participates in numerous councils, advisory boards and committees to build better partnerships in the community and improve the services it provides.
*Community Tennessee Rehabilitation Centers Advisory Board
The local Tennessee Rehabilitation Centers Advisory Board is made up of business and community leaders from across the state. The advisory board works to enhance the operation of the agency's network of centers by providing input and advise on program matters.

*Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC)
Due to inclement weather, the SILC meeting has been rescheduled from January 18, 2018, to January 26, 2018.
The SILC quarterly meeting will be held on January 26, 2018, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm CST at Disability Rights TN (DRT), 2 International Plaza, Suite 825, Nashville, TN 37217.
The purpose of the meeting will be to review the Division of Rehabilitation Services, Centers for Independent Living and Statewide Independent Living Council’s responsibility under Title VII, relating to promoting a philosophy of independent living in order to maximize the leadership, empowerment, independence, and productivity of individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014.
