STEWART COUNTY – The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security has recently added the Town of Dover as an issuance partner for renewals and replacement of driver licenses and identification cards. The Town of Dover’s administrative offices are located at 625 Donelson Parkway in Dover, TN. These services are currently being offered by scheduling appointments Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 931-232-5907.

The new services offered include license renewals and exchanges for Graduated Driver License holders. The new services will be especially beneficial to teen drivers and their parents.

“We appreciate the opportunity to partner with the Department of Safety and Homeland Security on offering these services,” said Mayor Lesa Fitzhugh. “It will be very helpful to our parents and young drivers being able to exchange their license here without having to go to another county.”

If you are an Honorably Discharged Veteran you may now have “Veteran” displayed on your driver license or identification card. When you renew or obtain a duplicate license, you will be required to provide a certified copy of your DD-214 and they will add this designation to your license.

State law allows a $4.00 administrative fee to be added by the issuer in addition to the cost of the license.
